Last week Darrin and collaborators Andreas Goetz, Metin Aktulga and Kenny Merz held an Amber Free Energy Workshop in San Diego Supercomputer Center on UCSD campus.
The workshop had 30 attendees coming from accross the world to learn about the new free energy methods implemented in the Amber software package. Some of these methods have been published only a few months ago. In this week long workshop York Lab members Ryan, Zeke, Jinzhe and Şölen each led hands on sessions through out the week, tutorials for all of which were prepared by York Lab members such as Erika, Lauren and Tim, in addition to the presenters at the workshop.
As a result of the workshop, York Lab has met new friends and collegues and look forward to continuing to work with all of the participants as part of the Amber community.
