This year's Aaron J. Shatkin Memorial Lecture at Rutgers University was given by Professor Frances Arnold from Cal Tech, who won the 2018 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for discovering and developing methods of “directed evolution.”   York Group members, especially the female graduate students, attended which turned out to be a spectacular lecture, and were super excited to have gotten a chance to meet with and talk to Prof Arnold at the end. Looking forward to meeting many more female chemistry Nobel Laureates!
