Congratulations to Erika (R.) McCarthy on succesfully defending her thesis titled "Multiscale Simulation of Nucleic Acid Enzyme Mechanisms from Machine Learning Accelerated Computational Enzymology"!

Erika has worked on more projects than could possibly fit into a single thesis and collected multiple awards along the way. She even managed to make her committee members cry tears of joy!

It was a bittersweet moment for the York Lab: everyone was thrilled to celebrate Erika, while knowing that her next adventure would soon take her away from us.

She will continue her adventures in Montréal, Canada, where she’ll be starting a new position at Chemical Computing Group (CCG). We wish her ~bonne chance ~
