Shi Zhang successfully defended his PhD thesis titled "Alchemical Free Energy Methods for Predicting Protein-Ligand Binding Affinity in Drug Discovery".
Through his PhD, Shi worked on improving the accuracy and precision of alchemical free energy simulations, working in the development of important tools such as ACES.
Shi's wife Jaiqi (also a PhD), was celebrated with us.
