Midas is looking for a highly motivated, detailed oriented Pharmaceutical Intern to join Midas Pharmaceuticals, Inc.’s (MPI’s) Pharmaceutical & Chemical Portfolio Team. In this role, you will play a key part in generating and analyzing portfolio targets to support our drug development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical sciences, a keen interest in drug development processes, and excellent analytical skills. You will learn to gather, understand and interpret market data after having received initial training from MPI team members. You will learn to search for development & sales candidates in the active pharmaceutical ingredient and chemical spaces (“Candidates”). You will periodically present these Candidates to MPI’s management and be able to support why such Candidates were selected.

Key Responsibilities
• Portfolio Analysis: Assist in the identification and evaluation of potential pharmaceutical & chemical development targets by analyzing current pharmaceutical portfolios and industry trends.
• Data Collection: Assist with gathering and organizing data from various sources, including scientific literature, clinical trial reports, available databases, and market analyses.
• Candidate List Generation: Assisting with the creation of lists of pharmaceutical & chemical Candidates by conducting thorough research and providing recommendations for further development based on available data insights.
• Report Preparation: Compile Candidates into comprehensive reports and presentations for review by senior team members.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Team members to turn Candidates into ongoing projects (“Projects”).
• Trend Monitoring: Staying updated on the latest advancements in drug and chemical development and research to refine Project portfolio.
• Administrative Support: Assist with maintaining Project records.
Qualifications
• Educational Background: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field. Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Familiarity with pharmaceutical development processes is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
o Experience with data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R) is preferred.
o Basic understanding of drug development terminology and methodologies.
